We are privileged to have been granted permission to locate our base camp on land owned by the island’s traditional owners, the Batjala people. A number of the Aboriginal elders live at the base camp on the island and will often share stories about their land and culture.
Our base camp offers permanent tent sites with covered BBQ cooking facilities (all crockery, cutlery and utensils provided) and access to fresh water showers and toilets. This means no more hassle setting up your tent and more time to explore Fraser Island!
